Pasco Auto Accidents Leaves One Dead and One Injured

Two Pasco auto accidents involving two pedestrians leaves one man dead and another woman injured. Both accidents took place on Saturday evening, January 30, 2010, on U.S. 19 in Pasco County.

The first Pasco accident occurred at approximately 9:30 PM when a man walked in front of a car that was traveling south of Mile Stretch Road. Rescue crews transported the pedestrian to Helen Ellis Hospital where he was pronounced dead at approximately 10:00 PM that same evening. The victim has been identified as Brandon Wayne Hensley, 27, of St. Petersburg.

The driver of the vehicle that struck Hensley has been identified as Denis Donati, 47, of Palm Harbor. Police have not filed any charges against the woman. It was unclear whether Donati was injured in the accident.

The second accident took place at approximately 11:15 PM on the same evening when a sport utility vehicle (SUV) struck a woman as she crossed U.S. 19 near Westwood Drive. The victim, Tammy B. Nunn, 44, of Port Richey, was transported to Tampa General Hospital via helicopter. Nunn is listed on serious condition.

Unfortunately, the driver of the vehicle that struck Nunn fled the scene. Anyone who has any information concerning the hit-and-run pedestrian accident has been asked to call the Florida Highway Patrol at (352) 521-3888, ext. 191.
